How EAAL (Expanded Activated Autologous Lymphocytes) works

• Collection of blood from the peripheral blood system of patients.
• The number of effector cells in the patient’s blood is then expanded ex-vivo in special culture medium that contains recombinant IL-2 and increases the monoclonal antibody to CD3. The process both expands the number of and increases the cytotoxic activity of the effector cells.
• The activated effector cells eliminate cancer cells selectively without attacking any of the patient’s normal cells.
• The reinfusion into the patient of a substantially increased number of activated effector lymphocytes both prevents the growth of cancer cells and in some cases; they have killed the patient’s remaining cancer cells.

EAAL Cells Attacking Cancer Cells

Reinfused EAAL cells are carried in the patient’s blood stream until they meet cancer cells which they recognize and they then attack these cancer cells.		EAAL cells attach themselves to cancer cells and perforate the membranes of the cancer cells thus destroyed the cancer cells by lysis/apoptosis etc.

Advantages of EAAL Cells Therapy

• Only a very small amount of peripheral blood (50-100ml) is taken from a patient.
• EAAL Cell Therapy increases the ability of the patient’s own natural defence mechanisms to combat cancerous growths, and it does no harm to the patient’s immune system.
• Because EAAL Cell Therapy boosts the patient’s own defense mechanisms, the patient is thus in a substantially better position to fight cecondary infections/illnesses.
• high frequency of treatment can be accomplished in a short space of time to achieve the most efficient results.
• Highly cytotoxic lymphocytes can be expanded a thousand fold, typically from 1.0×107 (SD0.2) per ml of blood to 1.4×1010 (SD0.4) per ml of blood.
• Activated lymphocytes can kill cancer cells either specifically, or non- specifically.
• EAAL Cell Therapy is a safe and highhly effcient in the treatment of cancer patients.

Who will benefit from EAAL Cells Therapy?

Cancer cells are abnormal “self” cells that distinguish themselves from normal cells by expressing different types of antigens or molecules (and they do so regardless of the origin of their tissue), and in immunotherapy a patient’s own immune system is used to attack the cancer cells that express such antigens or molecules----but immunotherapy does not attack normal cells. Theoretically, most cancer patients with an expected lifespan of more three months are suitable for treatment by EAAL Cell Therapy.

This includes:

• Cancer patients after surgery.
• Cancer patients in the intervals between bouts of chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy, and
• Cancer patients who are not responding to either chemotherapy or radiation therapy.
• Malignant solid tumors : Melanoma 、Liver Cancer、Lung Cancer、Kidney Cancer、Breast Cancer、Malignant brain tumor、Ovarian Cancer、Prostate Cancer、Bladder Cancer、Esophagus Cancer、Pancreas Cancer、Cervical Cancer、Leukemia, etc.
• Chronic infectious diseases :HBV、HCV, etc.

EAAL Treatment Procedure:

One circle of the treatment usually include:

• One blood collection and 3 injections;
• Need 4 weeks;
• The first injection will be arranged at the 2nd week after the collecting blood;
• Every week will have one injection, totally 3 injections.
