Colon cancer
Colon cancer (also known as colorectal cancer, or large bowel cancer), is a cancer of the large intestine. Most colon cancers begin as adenomatous polyps, small and benign clumps of cells. As the disease time become longer, some of the adenomatous polyps change into colon cancers.
Most symptoms of colon cancer are nonspecific, and none can be a diagnostic symptom of colon cancer. They may vary depending on the location and size of the tumor. The following symptoms may occur in colon cancer:
- A change of defecation habit
- Blood in stool
- Persistent uncomfortable feeling of abdomen
- Weakness and fatigue
- Weight loss
