1.Focused Ultrasound

Focused Ultrasound is an incisionless treatment for essential tremor patients who have not responded to medication. It uses sound waves guided by MRI to treat deep in the brain with no incisions or permanent implants. The ultrasound waves are focused on a small spot in the brain, the Vim of the thalamus, considered to be responsible for tremor. The temperature at the target rises high enough to create a small ablation or burn, providing a therapeutic effect.

The MRI is the eyes of the treatment, enabling the physician to plan, guide and target the area for treatment. It also acts like a thermometer, providing continuous temperature monitoring to verify that only the targeted tissue is destroyed.


2.Discovery IGS 730 Robot

Discovery IGS 730 Robot is the world's first intelligent mobile large-scale medical imaging equipment developed by GE company based on the latest IGS platform. The IGS robot uses the unique intelligent mobile robot technology in the industry and owns the intra-operative CT function and four intelligent guidance solutions for cardiac, vascular, tumor and nerve involvement, is a great invention in the medical equipment field of the 21st century and won the gold Metal of Industrial Design Society of America in 2012.

3.HIFU high intensity focused ultrasound

HIFU is short for high-intensity focused ultrasound ablation and it represents the next generation of minimally invasive treatments for cancer.

HIFU utilizes ultrasound’s good penetrability, and intensity as the ultrasound beam travels through the transducer probe and is focused into a point, precisely targeting the tumor, which is heated up between 60 to 100 Degrees Celsius. The cellular proteins of the tumor coagulate leading to tumor ablation (thermal destruction of tissue), without surrounding tissue being harmed.  The dead tumor tissues are then gradually reabsorbed by the body.

Design of 64-row spiral CT broke through it of traditional CT, is one of the world's advanced instruments for diagnosis of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, can do multi-directional adjustment, receive images of any sections, so that we can better understand the details of the pathological changes and anatomic spatial relationships. Non-invasive, efficient, accurate, three-dimensional medical imaging technology, can be applied to display of three-dimensional structure for the skull, maxillofacial, spine, bone joints and other parts. At the same time, it has unique advantages in emergency medicine and the diagnosis of early pulmonary embolism, also it can be used for screening coronary heart disease, lung cancer, liver cirrhosis, and the analysis of benign and malignant tumors.

5.      Hyperthermia

Experiments show that the cooling capacity of tumor cells is much lower than that of normal cells. When the temperature reaches 42.5 ℃ and lasted for more than 30 minutes, the tumor cells will rapidly heat up and cause injury, degeneration and necrosis. However, the healthy cells can avoid damage through good cooling mechanism. Thermotron-RF8 is Japan’s latest developed hyperthermia machine, which can accurately position the tumor and perform hyperthermia. While it reduces tumor volume and relieve pain, it can prevent the recurrence of cancer and enhance the effects of other therapies.
