Nikola and Victor are two years old twins from Serbia. The twins appeared breathing difficulties and other symptoms at birth, although the ICU emergency proceed rescue and treatment at local hospital, but after the condition stabilized, the parents found that the two children's development was significantly delayed, they were diagnosed with cerebral palsy.

Their parents have sought medical treatment in many ways, hoping to find a suitable treatment. After learning that Beijing Puhua Intl Hospital (BPIH) has relevant treatment for Cerebral Palsy, he established a remote contact with the hospital through an online consultation application. Dr. Yang Xiuqing, director of the neurology department of Beijing Tiantan Puhua Hospital, suggested that surgery could be performed after a preliminary understanding of the situation of the two children.

Due to the recognition of the neurology department and the professional doctors of Puhua Hospital, after receiving the initial treatment plan, the parents decided to come for treatment, and the six family members flew to China for treatment at the first time with the children's grandma and grandpa.

After admission, the neurology team conducted a more detailed examination of the child, and found that the child's motor and language development was delayed, muscle tone was increased, brain MRI showed that the patient has "brain atrophy, white matter dysplasia, and ventricle enlargement."

According to the situation of the child, the neurology department of BPIH carry out multidisciplinary MDT consultation, and fully communicated with the child's parents, the medical team confirmed the surgical plan, and answered the questions of the family.

After the careful care of the medical staff, the two children recovered well after the operation. They had difficulty sitting and standing before the treatment, but they could sit alone four days after the operation, and the eye reaction was more sensitive than before, the overall state was also developing well.

At present, the children have been discharged from the hospital and returned to their homeland Serbia. We will bless and continue to follow up the twins.
